Retirement is a milestone that marks the beginning of a new chapter in life, filled with endless possibilities and the freedom to explore passions long set aside.
Lynn and I are officially retired from our professional careers and have planned to take time away to celebrate.
For me, Wayne, a 55-year-old retired air traffic controller, and my wife, Lynn, a recently retired teacher, this new chapter is an opportunity to reconnect, rediscover, and rejuvenate.
Our decision to take a few months off for an extended adventure is a testament to our desire to make the most of our golden years.
Real Estate Photography demands a keen eye for detail, a trait that served me well during my career as an air traffic controller. This same precision and focus have translated into a passion for real estate photography. Capturing the essence of properties, highlighting their unique features, and showcasing their beauty through my lens brings me immense joy. Retirement has given me the freedom to dive deeper into this hobby, turning it into a fulfilling endeavor that keeps me creatively engaged, and I fully intend to return to full time Real Estate Photography in October of 2024.
Lynn’s career as a teacher was driven by her love for learning and her commitment to inspiring our most important members of society- it's youth. Retirement hasn’t dimmed her curiosity; instead, it has opened up new avenues for personal growth and exploration. She sees the world as a classroom and is eager to learn from new experiences and environments. This journey is an extension of her lifelong dedication to education, but now, she’s the student.
Our decision to take a sabbatical is about more than just travel; it’s about rediscovering ourselves and each other. After years of structured schedules and demanding careers, we are embracing the freedom to explore at our own pace. This time away is a chance to deepen our bond, create lasting memories, and experience the country in ways we never could before. We plan to spend the summer in Northern Michigan at our summer home and towards the fall we will visit picturesque locations including Yellowstone NP as well as others, where we can indulge our passion for photography and Lynn can immerse herself in local cultures and histories.
This journey is also a celebration of our relationship. Retirement has given us the gift of time—time to reconnect, to share dreams, and to embark on new adventures together. It’s a chance to rekindle the romance that often takes a backseat to the demands of daily life. As we set off on this odyssey, we are embracing the unknown with open hearts and open minds. We are proof that retirement isn’t an end, but a beginning—a time to pursue passions, discover new interests, and, most importantly, to live fully and joyfully together.
For Lynn and I, this journey is more than just a break from routine; it’s a celebration of life, love, and the endless possibilities that retirement brings. Our story is an inspiration to all who are on the cusp of this new chapter, reminding us that it’s never too late to chase dreams, explore new passions, and create beautiful memories together. We look forward to serving you in the near future with all your Real Estate Media needs. Thanks for reading this.
